Vehicle Description
Representing the latter part of the Corvette's first generation (aka "C1") the 1959 Corvette was a refined version of the '58 that did away with the fake hood louvers and odd chrome "spears" on the rear deck. Otherwise, it kept the '58s tasteful updates which included the dual headlights, the long hood, the bumper exit exhaust and the smoothly integrated rear lights.
Here we have a 1959 Corvette that's been restored and boasts a gorgeous color scheme of Snowcrest White with Silver Coves. Its arrow-straight and rock-solid body also features lustrous chrome and stainless-steel trim as well as wide whitewall tires and the correct "spinner" style wheel covers that further add to the Corvette's massive head-turning factor. Note that the matching hardtop is included.
Inside, it is very good to excellent, with crisp red door panels and upholstery, clear gauges and sharp aluminum/stainless-steel accents. Only the passenger grab bar and the carpeting show some notable wear. The original "Wonderbar" signal-seeking radio still resides in the dash.
Under the hood is a NOM 350 cubic-inch, 300-horsepower V8 that sends the power to the rear wheels via a T-10 aluminum 4-speed transmission fitted with a Hurst shifter. Thanks to the beefy engine transplant, this '59 offers performance that likely betters even the top dog 283 "Fuelie" engine offered that year. The underside of this 59 is in remarkable shape, and still has its factory Spiral original set of shocks . You will also notice a new off-road exhaust system and the frame has never been painted or detailed .
